ABOUT:
Nancy Canella was born and raised in a small town just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Post college, she worked in high-tech public relations for companies such as Xerox, Sybase and Cisco Systems and during that time a simple Google search changed her life forever. While researching universities to further her education, a side-bar ad for a language school in Florence grabbed her attention. What Nancy didn’t know was that coming to Florence would change her life in ways she never expected.
“When I arrived in Florence, I was consumed with the culture -- its art, architecture and cuisine. But, I was equally drawn to how my neighbors lived, where they did food shopping, how they spent their leisure time, the restaurants they frequented, and their holiday customs. I quickly learned that the beauty and appreciation of the simplest things are what make the Italian life envied by so many.”

During her time in Florence, Nancy quickly made friends with her neighbors while attending Italian language school. Shortly after completing her studies, Nancy met her husband and during their courtship, they reveled in driving off the beaten path to explore boutique wineries, specialty restaurants, and local markets. During those road trips, they discovered gastronomical gems and uncorked their inner oenophiles. In 2007, Nancy joined Quintess Collection as a travel consultant, and it was the perfect opportunity to share her unique perspective on Italy with Quintess’s luxury vacation clients. During this time she became known for creating true and flawless Italian experiences for her clients.
